STORE FRANCHISE PROGRAM

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

A Franchise Agreement grants the right to operate one JODY MARONI’S SAUSAGE KINGDOM location. Each store operates under a separate agreement.

AGREEMENT TERM

10 years with consecutive 5-year renewal terms granted if certain conditions are met.

INITIAL FRANCHISE FEE

First Franchise Agreement: $25,000
Second Franchise Agreement & each thereafter: $20,000

TRAINING

Los Angeles Training Center: 6 days (total of 54 hours) of classroom and store training.

At your store: 3 days of in-store support before and during opening.

ROYALTY

5.0% of Adjusted Gross Income

QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to other criteria, applicants must possess the following, to the Company’s satisfaction:

Experience and demonstrated capability to successfully operate the number of units contemplated.
Capital requirements based on the number of Franchise Agreements signed:

FICO credit score of 680 or above.
Substantial familiarity with the trade area in which stores will be owned.

Be a United States citizen or hold a valid Permanent Resident (Green) Card.

AREA DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

An Area Development Agreement grants the right to operate multiple
JODY MARONI’S SAUSAGE KINGDOM locations in a defined development territory.

AGREEMENT TERM

The earlier of five (5) years or the period in which Development Schedule is completed.

DEVELOPMENT FEE

50% of the combined Initial Franchise Fees for the number of locations stipulated in the Development Schedule. The Development Fee paid is credited as 50% of the Initial Franchise Fee for each location. The other 50% of the Initial Franchise Fee is payable prior to the signing of the lease for each location.

TRAINING

Same as Store Franchise Program

DEVELOPMENT SCHEDULE

The Area Development Agreement requires you to meet the minimum Development Schedule requirements to sign leases and open store within the Territory by certain dates.

THE PROCESS

We’ve invested significant capital and resources to develop the Jody Maroni’s brand over the past 25 years. And now we’re looking for entrepreneurs that share our commitment to excellence as grow across the country. We take great care to ensure that there is a strong fit in this relationship. The opportunities and environment at Jody Maroni’s Sausage Kingdom needs to fit the desires and goals for the franchisee. In turn, we need to ensure that franchisees have the qualifications, abilities and drive necessary to become successful owners by implementing our business model in their local store.

Becoming a Franchisee

Here’s how the process works in awarding Franchise and Area Development Agreements:

You may review the information provided in our website.
Provided that you meet our minimum qualifications, you may complete and submit our online Preliminary Franchise Application.
You will be contacted by our Development Manager for your area.
After further discussions and qualification, we will send you the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC). This is a standard disclosure document that provides more detail on the franchise opportunity.
We will send you the final Franchise Application and Personal Financial Statement. Upon our receipt of these documents fully completed and signed, we will evaluate your application.
Upon approval, we will invite you an invitation to attend Discovery Days, a two-day session where you will meet with Jody Maroni’s senior management, visit stores, meet franchisees and try our delicious products. You’ll also work in an existing store to determine if you like the environment and we see a good operational fit.
Following our acceptance of you as a Franchisee, we will award the franchise and Franchise Agreements will be signed.

TYPICAL TIME TO COMPLETE: 45 - 60 Days
